if you don't mind me asking, what was your lighting setup for this? (also asking not only how your subject was lit but also your palette and your canvas) Also, how much light disturbance did you get from the light used for your canvas on your subject? cheers! great painting by the way!
I had one light on the setup from the right with all other sides blocked from light sources. The light on my canvas is a neutral overhead lamp that covers just the general area of palette and canvas both. I tried to set it up so as to minimize it's reach/effect on the still life and then I'd turn it off once in a while to see the still life without the lamp so I knew how much it was affecting it.
